We are experts in SR&ED for clinician-scientists
Our expertise is founded in finance, clinical science, and biomedical engineering.
To ensure the financial sustainability of clinical research.
A future where clinical research is truly valued, driving a healthier, more innovative, and more prosperous Canada.
We lead with service excellence, work through collaboration, and act with integrity.
We provide end-to-end support for medical innovation funding, including eligibility assessments, claim preparation, technical documentation, and ongoing support. Our work focuses on research-driven medical professional corporations, clinician-scientists, and researchers. We work with clients across Canada and support projects conducted in a wide range of clinical, academic, and research settings.
Medical professional corporations and clinician-scientists can qualify when they conduct eligible research or experimental development that goes beyond routine clinical practice. SR&ED funding is based on the nature of the work performed, not the industry or professional designation.
Eligible activities may include experimental development, applied research, and systematic investigation aimed at resolving scientific or technological uncertainty. In a medical context, this can include protocol development, pilot studies, novel diagnostic or therapeutic approaches, medical device development, and research-driven process improvements.
No. Eligibility is not based on achieving a successful clinical or commercial outcome. Projects that encounter setbacks, inconclusive results, or failed hypotheses may still qualify, provided the work involved a systematic, experimental approach to resolving uncertainty.
No. Incorporation is not strictly required to qualify. However, we strongly encourage incorporation, as incorporated entities, particularly Canadian-controlled private corporations, are often eligible for significantly higher refunds. Incorporation often improves overall funding outcomes.
